Practicing for only 10 minutes is not like attending a yoga class. Is this just as beneficial for my body/mind?
I often recommend to myself and students to do a little yoga everyday. Students report that there is not enough time to have a one hour practice daily or even 3X per week. Scientific studies now show that shorter, more frequent practices have benefits for our nervous system.
So that means you can stand, do a short centering focusing on your breath for a minute, do a standing pose or two, a floor pose and a twist and a few moments of relaxation. You could aim for 10-30 minutes, but 10 minutes is enough for a beneficial effect. Not the maximum effect but ... well you get what I am saying.
